Sport specific example: Football Partner Sprints INTENSE work for no more than 8 seconds per rep, (using 20 yard band resisted sprints = 1 Sprint), and the rest period is the time between snaps, so begin with 40 seconds rest between sprint reps for a total of 10 reps (or set to ave # of plays).
For starters, this alone is intense and recommend an initial build up and athlete familiarity with the bands. This is part of a regime that is position/sport specific.
Example testing metrics;
Shuttle 5-10-5 indoor and out.
20 and 40 yard dash, baseball 60.
Indoor options as well. I highly suggest customizing based on your desired pace of play. Testing prior to any training is mandatory in order to set benchmarks. Further testing will continue throughout agreed training cycles.
